During the 1960s, Beach buggies were an important part of American counterculture and a booming culture at that. These air-cooled rockets are super fun on beach paths or twisty roads because they are often based on VW Beetle platforms. This vintage classic from Airfix is a terrific homage to a time of sun, sea, and surf and is ideal for exploring the terrain with the breezes in your hair.
Airfix Beach Buggy Model
The model is from the brand Airfix and is scaled at 1/32. This is the first time it has been released since 1979, and it is a welcome return at a reasonable price. There is no flash and only a small amount of seam fraying that needs to be finished. The upper portion accurately replicates the glass fiber body of the real vehicles created by the Bugle firm, while the powertrain is a convincing, if overly straightforward, replication of the air-cooled engine. It consists of six runners and a separate bodyshell with minimal usage of the molds. A neatly molded interior section and understated wheel hubs enhance the overall detail level. This kit includes sprues & decals that need to be assembled.
